Over the last few weeks, children in Years 5 and 6 completed Bikeability Level 1 and Level 2 training in the ideal setting of our school grounds and Thorncombe’s village roads. This helped our children to build their knowledge and life skills so they can cycle safely on the roads and gain the confidence to experience other cycling opportunities in the future. This practical government-recognised programme also contributes to progress in physical education, citizenship and our school’s ethos of health, wellbeing and environmental stewardship.
