School Clubs

With the easing of Covid-19 restrictions through spring and summer 2021 a range of extra-curricular clubs and activities were reintroduced in addition to our wrap-around Breakfast Club and After School Club offerings.

The following enrichment activities are currently available free of charge:

  • Circuits – on Fridays before school with Miss Smith at 8 am.

  • Orchard Sports Club (Key Stage 2)  – a fun multi skill and multi sport programme after school on Wednesdays with Mr Jarad from Primary Sports

  • Orchard Choir Practice (Key Stage 2) – lunch break on Fridays with Mrs Orr-Ewing

  • Pippin Choir Practice (Reception to Year 2) – lunch break on Wednesdays with Miss Coliandris

Peripatetic music teachers also offer lessons in a variety of instruments; these are optional activities for which parents have to meet the costs of tutoring and, possibly, purchase and hire of instruments. Mrs Orr-Ewing leads Strings Club for children who learn the violin or cello after school on Fridays for a small termly fee.

If you would like to book your child in for extra-curricular activities or to enquire for more information about private music lessons, please contact the office on 01460 30535 or by email to thorncombeoffice@acornacademy.org
