Pippin Home Learning

For Key Stage One children (Years 1 and 2), Homework will be set every week on a Friday, and should be handed in by the following Wednesday.

From time to time, children in Foundation Stage (Reception) will also have a homework activity but this will of course be practical, play based and fun!

The following websites are helpful to support your child with phonics/reading and spelling:

‘Mr Thorne teaches phonics’ helps with the pronunciation of the 44 phonemes that children need to know to support both their reading and spelling. See https://www.mrthornenetwork.com/phonics

‘Phonics Play’ is a fun website with lots of games for children which will play to reinforce their knowledge of letters and sounds. The link will take you to a game the children are familiar with, but please have fun looking around for other fun games your child may enjoy.  http://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/BuriedTreasure2.html

If you would like to know more information about which Phonics Phase your child is on please chat to Mrs Clements who can let you know.

There are also lots of great sequencing, literacy and maths games on here too.

Many thanks to all the website builders for the great work they do to provide valuable and fun games for the children (and parents!).
