Remembrance Sunday at St Mary’s Church Thorncombe

Children from school joined the Remembrance Service accompanied by recent leavers, parents, grandparents and our Chair of Governors. After the Act of Remembrance, a child from each class laid the handcrafted Pippin and Orchard class wreaths at the war memorial.

Inspiring future farmers

After School Club enjoyed a visit from local Arla farmers from the Sadborow Estate with two calves, three working dogs, a tractor, quad bike and Land Rover. The children were thrilled to meet the animals and keen to hear about dairy farming.

Orchestral Workshop at Axe Valley Academy

Our Year 5 Strings Group joined other primary school musicians for a whole day orchestral workshop. The children learned new pieces of music and applied excellent efforts on their violins and cellos to perform as part of an orchestra at the end of day finale.
